In-Sight Outreach provides support to service providers and families, integrating movement-based learning into therapy and daily life. Through one-on-one consultation and group workshops, we will create additional tools for service providers and families to utilize as they engage with children with visual impairments and blindness. Further, this will facilitate completion of specific tasks oriented to learning and developmental milestones.
We utilize the modality of movement as it is one of the best ways to stimulate brain development and learning. It is also our first mode of communication: nonverbal communication. Developing one’s movement, confidence and awareness will continue to support further development, both socially and cognitively as the child grows.
We offer coaching to service providers to help them build the confidence to implement their knowledge when working with children experiencing a visual impairment or blindness. In working with families, we provide support through personal experience, movement and language they will need when navigating care for their young ones.
We facilitate conversations about resiliency, and how through being a student to a challenge will reveal one’s superpowers and how to apply them through acts of service. Our conversations have been featured on podcasts and dance films as well as in speaking engagements at elementary schools, universities and other non-profit organizations.
